Disclaimer & Non-Affiliation
Please read this disclaimer carefully. It explains who we are, who we are not, and the limits of the support we provide to Grand Canyon University nursing students.
We Are Independent
GCU Preceptor (gcupreceptor.com) is an independent, third-party preceptor and clinical-placement support service for Grand Canyon University nursing students. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or connected to Grand Canyon University in any way. We are not an agent, representative, or official partner of the university.
Throughout this website, the terms “GCU” and “Grand Canyon University” are used only to identify and describe the students we serve and the programs those students are enrolled in. These names are the property of Grand Canyon University. Our use of them is purely descriptive and does not imply any relationship, approval, or association.
Accreditation Belongs to GCU, Not to Us
Grand Canyon University’s BSN, MSN, DNP, and post-graduate APRN certificate nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Grand Canyon University is institutionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
Those accreditations belong to Grand Canyon University and its programs, not to us. GCU Preceptor is a private support service and is neither accredited nor an educational institution. We do not award credit, hours, degrees, or certificates of any kind. All academic credit and clinical-hour requirements are determined and granted solely by GCU.
We Assist, We Do Not Guarantee
Our role is to help GCU nursing students identify a qualified preceptor and a clinical site for their practicum. We assist; we do not guarantee placement, outcomes, graduation timelines, or that any particular site or preceptor will be approved.
At GCU, students are generally responsible for identifying their own preceptor and clinical site, and GCU’s Office of Field Experience supports and must approve each selected site so it meets the university’s practicum standards. We do not control, influence, or speak for that approval decision. Whether a site is accepted rests entirely with GCU. Nothing on this site should be read as a promise that GCU will approve a placement we help you find.
Where we present a virtual practicum service, it is offered as a service option only. We make no claim that GCU accepts any specific virtual or remote arrangement; that is determined by GCU and your faculty.
Confirm Everything With GCU
Program details, including required clinical hours, course requirements, immersion experiences, and compliance steps, can change and may vary by track. Always confirm current preceptor requirements and practicum rules directly with Grand Canyon University and your faculty before relying on anything stated here.

How We Help
With those limits clearly stated, here is the value we offer: NP students often delay graduation because preceptor spots fill up fast and they cannot secure one in time. We work to take that pressure off you by helping you find a qualified preceptor and a clinical site to submit for GCU’s approval.
Learn how it works or get in touch when you’re ready. You pay when matched, not before.
